What are Warts and Varrucas?
Warts and Varrucas are non cancerous skin growths caused by viruses in the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) family. There are four different types of these which can be identified as common warts, flat warts, plantar or foot warts. Despite there differences in appearance, they are essentially caused the same way.
Who can get these?
Warts occur on people of all ages bust most commonly are seen on teenagers.
Are they painful?
They are a source of pain and discomfort and a growing cosmetic concern. They can be more painful if they are on a weight bearing part of the body.
Can Warts and Varruccas heal themselves?
Most Warts will resolve themselves within 1 year, however there is a risk if left untreated warts and varrucaas can spread rapidly.
Where are they found on the body?
You can get warts anywhere, but are commonly found on hands, feet and knees.
What do they look like?
There appearance are round or Oval shaped, usually firm and raised with a rough texture, red, white or pink in colour.
Are Warts and Verrucas contagious?
Yes. They are contagious and can pass on from person to person by direct and indirect contact. The incubation period of a wart is two to nine months following infection.
How effective is Laser Treatment?

How many treatments do i need?
The number of sessions vary depending on the type and frequency of the wart you have. Significant results are seen from your first session.
Is the treatment Painful?
Cooling can be provided to increase comfort. Our laser treatment has built in patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD). Clients describe the laser pulses like a light snapping sensation, this is only whilst the laser is being pulsed and subsides immediately after.
Are there any side effects?
Permanent side effects are very rare. There are no common side effects or scarring from this treatment.
What can i expect?
The skin is thoroughly cleansed before treatment. DCD cooling is delivered through a small hand piece to increase comfort during laser treatment. Any redness subsides very quickly after treatment. Please follow aftercare advise given to you on the day after your treatment.
