Am I suitable for the treatments?

Before you start treatment you are invited for a consultation with a certified practitioner to determine the course of treatments required. A full medical history and skin analysis will be carried out.

How does Medical Microdermabrasion work?

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that uses tiny crystals to help remove the superficial layers of skin cells. A fine jet of crystals are delivered onto the skin, this lifts all the dead skin particles on the skin surface, which are then vacumed off through the system. Blood flow is stimulated, encouraging the skin to rejuvenate itself to heal and produce collagen and elastin.

What can I expect during treatments?

Treatment will take place at our clinic. The skin will be deep cleansed prior to treatment. A small sterile hand piece is used to deliver crystals onto the skin safely and effectively.

Does it hurt?

The treatment is not painful. Some clients may feel a slight pressure against the skin during the session, this pressure can be adjusted to suit your needs. During the treatment you will feel a light abrasion and suction on the skin at the same time. A cooling Mask is applied to increase comfort.

How many treatment sessions will i need?

Treatments are dependant on what skin condition is being treated. Between 4-6 sessions are recommended. Treatments are 2-3 weeks apart.

How do I prepare for treatment?

There is no skin prep required before this treatment. It’s recommended clients come in make up free. Men should have a clean shave a day before the treatment so the skin can be treated effectively.

What can I expect after treatment?

After treatment you can expect to see visibly clearer skin immediately, the skin will show improvement each day for the next five days as it is healing. Redness on the skin usually subsides in 30min. Please follow the after care advice given to you on the day after treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects to this treatment are very rare, redness subsides very quickly.
